Naik (Gunner) Dilawar Khan, a brave Indian Army soldier from Una district's Bangana sub-division, made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the Nation during an encounter with terrorists near Srinagar on Wednesday morning.

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy CMr Mukesh Agnihotri have extended their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family members. The CM described this as a moment of profound sorrow for the people of the state, having lost a brave soldier in the fight against terrorism. He assured that Dilawar Khan's supreme sacrifice would not go in vain. Agnihotri, in his condolence message, stated that Dilawar Khan's martyrdom has sent shockwaves throughout the district. 

The body of 28-year-old Dilawar Khan, a resident of Gharwasda in Bangana, will be brought to his native village on Thursday, July 25, at around 2 pm. According to Deputy Director Sainik Welfare S. Kalia, Dilawar Khan's funeral will be held with full state honors in his native village Gharwasda on Thursday, July 25.

Dilawar Khan was born in March 1996 and enlisted in the army on December 20, 2014.
The state cabinet, including Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, has also expressed deep condolences over the martyrdom of this brave soldier."
